— մտաց, grief, anxiety, mental torture, constraint, heaviness of heart, oppression;
— մահու, pangs or agony of death, death-struggle;
արկանել, մատնել ի —ս անհնարինս, to embarrass extremely, to place in a strait, in a scrape, embarrassment or perplexity;
արկանել զանձն ի —, to embarrass oneself;
կալ ի —ի, to be in trouble, anxiety or embarrassment;
հասանել ի յետին —, to be reduced to extremities;
եղիցի — հեթանոսաց, the nations shall be plunged in consternation;
եկն յանկարծակի դողումն եւ —, a sudden fear fell on them;
ամենայն — հասցէ ի վերայ նորա, every kind of grief shall fall upon him;
ըմբռնեալ յանլոյծ — հասանէր, he found himself embarrassed by that insuperable necessity;

— մեծ էր նմա, he had extreme difficulty, he turned on all sides;
հարից զամենայն երիվարս —աւ եւ զհեծեալս նորա յիմարութեամբ, I will turn the horses into stone and their riders will I stultify;

փոյթ եւ — եղեւ ի ջուրս, the waters rivalled each other.
